There will never be another balloon payment required: the loan can run the full term, & there is not a penalty to pay off early. You can feel free to make the changes to the home that you like. 6. Do we have a closing? The credit union I am a member of will notarize contracts for free. I normally meet at the credit union to sign and notarize the contract when I accept the downpayment. You will leave with a notarized & embossed contract signed by you and myself. 7.
