About the apartment: Lovely studio apartment available in a seismically retrofitted 1920s brick building. The apartment is broken into two distinct rooms/spaces, kitchen and bedroom/living room. It has wood floors in living/bedroom, vintage tiled bathroom with tub/shower, eat-in kitchen with gas stove, one very large walk-in closet and lots of period details. This apartment is relatively small, so probably does not lend itself to couples and families, or people with lots of furniture and personal belongings. It is also not well suited for those that are noise-sensitive. There is no outdoor area but lots of nearby nature and parks. Square footage is approximate. About the building: This unit is one of 5 apartments that sits above a former grocery store which is now an artists studio. We, the owners, are below and manage the building. The building has great long term tenants. There is no off street parking or laundry facilities. Unfortunately there are stairs to access the apartment and no elevator on premises. About Crockett: Crockett is a quaint little community at the foot of Carquinez bridge surrounded by the bay and straight. It is about 20 minutes north of Berkeley on HWY 80 and it has become an artist community within the last few years. There are a handful of restaurants, two bars, a delicious sandwich shop, 2 coffee shops, public town pool, tennis courts, parks and bocci courts. Major shops are in Hercules, Pinole or Vallejo. There are lots of hiking trails in walking distance and charming village of Port Costa is a short drive or a beautiful 2.5 mile hike. To apply: Acceptable application, recent credit report with score (provided by the applicant) minimum one year lease are required (there is no application fee.) Longer term tenant is preferred. Tenant pays for PG&E and internet connection, we pay trash and water. First month's rent plus $950 security deposit to move in.
