Red Mountain home with all day sunlight. This has been a home in our family for 30 years and has been extensively added to and improved several times. The house has two living rooms. One we call the music room as it features a world class music system and grand double barrel vaulted ceilings. The other is a more intimate living room nearer to the kitchen which we call the library. The house has an extensive personal library or over 2500 volumes. For relaxation there are both an oversize tiled hot tub and a spectacular large steam marble steam room. In addition to the four main bedrooms there is a bunk room for the occasional extra kids visiting and it has it's own bathroom and shower. Each of the four main bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a large walk in shower as well as soaking tub. The primary guest room has a spectacular marble finish and an oversize tub for two. The home has an interesting art collection gathered over the years from around the world. This will be the first time we have rented the house. Unlike decorated styled ski vacation houses this house feels distinctly like a home. For many years we spent the entire winter here. Our preference would be a one year rental but we are open to two and three month rentals for this Fall. There is a nicely furnished small studio apartment with its own kitchen which is ideal for a nanny or a chef but could also of course be used for additional guests over the holidays. The dining room adjoining the kitchen seats 8 comfortably and there is a very large dining table as well in the music room where we have hosted sit down birthday dinners for 16. The special charm of this house is that it works well for a couple who would primarily use the kitchen and library as the living spaces. The large music room with it's own entry can be used for larger groups. I use the music room as my desk for working from home. There are multiple outside sitting areas including a large patio off of the kitchen area as well as a private patio off the number 2 bedroom and a shaded back terrace by the back lawn. The house is very private and you see no other houses. Renter is responsible for Utilities including gas, electric, water, Comcast, and winter plowing. Owner will cover the costs of gardening and lawn care. We do not ALLOW smoking in the house. There have never been smokers in the house. A glass or two of wine is no problem :)
