    What's special

Dawson County Acreage and home features an amazing home that is completely updated and furnished.  The 2,500+ sqft. 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home sits on 121 plus acres with awesome views of the Platte River Valley!  Incredible tastes and styles can be found throughout the home.  This is an all electric home that has many luxuries including a reverse osmosis system, a wine cellar, and an insulated attached garage.  The beautiful eat-in kitchen features quartz countertops, and all stainless steel appliances.  It is easy to fall in love with the master bedroom and en suite, which includes a jetted tub and a beautiful tiled walk in shower.   The basement in the home is fully finished with a large family room and soap stone wood stove. Outside the home, beautiful landscaping leads up to an outdoor fireplace and large patio.  The large yard is well maintained, and has underground sprinklers.  There are also several outbuildings located near the house. This home has a fantastic view to the South of the Platte Valley River basin.  It truly is a panoramic view, you really can see for miles. The home was remodeled in 2008, bringing it "to the studs." It has new insulation, new sheet rock in the kitchen, living room, pantry, master bath, down the hall and down the steps, and new doors and windows. A wall dividing the kitchen and living room was removed and replaced with a 5? x 12? wooden beam.  At the base of the steel support columns is a 5/8? steel plate to prevent any settling of the beam.  The support columns and bases are clad in wood matching the homes woodwork. The wine room has a capacity of 750 bottle and ample shelving for glasses or other décor.  The wine refrigerator is dual zone to control a variety of temperatures.  It is very comfortable to use as a tornado shelter when needed. The wood burning stove is made of soapstone, first used in Scandinavia and Northern Europe to conserve their forests and provide a maximum heat dispersement. The outside of the home is clad with concrete siding.  This, along with the new windows and doors, maximizes the sound-proof properties of the inside of the home. All decking is made of man-made materials to maximize longevity and ease of maintenance and have lighted steps. Rooms are painted in contemporary colors for ease of decorating in a variety of styles. The landscaping is perfect for small intimate gatherings around the fireplace as well as large celebrations.  The outdoor fireplace is unbeatable for cool evenings in every season of the year.  The flue of the fireplace is 12 x 14 to accommodate almost any size fire. And there is an outdoor-rated AM/FM/XM radio/CD player located in the back of the fireplace, with outdoor speakers mounted in the sides.  This is an awesome addition, as it provided wonderful ambiance to even just an evening at home let alone any type of party or gathering. Also included is an outdoor rated refrigerator and an area for firewood.  The stainless trim around both of these was handmade and hand polished. You will find a propane fired firepit with the propane bottle hidden in the matching side table. And to the North of the home, is a new pump house.  This pump house was built to also house the outdoor furniture cushions and miscellaneous items. This property must be seen to appreciate all of the luxuries.  Contact Jon today to schedule your showing.
