My wife and I chose this layout mainly for the mother-in-law suite, which was extremely convenient when caring for my mother. We also needed a nice fenced-in backyard for my mother's dog to run around. Privacy was a high priority, so we chose a lot that backs up to a beautiful, lush, wooded area that can't be developed because of a creek that runs through the land. A sizable patio makes it easy to relax and enjoy this tranquil space in the shade. The floor plan is open and spacious. The living room, dining room, and kitchen merge into one grand room. The loft is a fantastic multi-purpose space and the master bathroom is the size of a bedroom so you can dance the Cha-Cha while you towel off! The layout is just about perfect with an upstairs laundry room, a garage entry right by the fridge, and a recessed front doorway to keep all your deliveries out of sight. We even made sure there was ample roof space facing south for the rooftop solar array which is as large as the City of Austin would allow and covers almost our entire electric bill! We also made sure to opt for all the so-called "rough-ins" so we could easily add upgrades later on. There's wiring for a high-power EV charger in the garage, a 7.1 surround-sound system in the great room, under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, and ceiling fans in the patio. There's even plumbing for a utility sink in the garage! Commuting to most places is a breeze. Most of the time, you're going the opposite direction as rush-hour traffic, so it's surprisingly easy to get to work even down town. There's a Montessori school and a bus stop only two blocks away.
