    What's special

Welcome to this beautifully and intelligently renovated two-bedroom apartment at Dunolly Gardens. As you enter, the motion sensitive light fixture turns on and brings you into the foyer, which is used as a dining area for 6 to 8, with built-in bench seating that doubles as storage (accessible when the seats are raised). To the left is the spacious living room, with two windows facing west for great afternoon light. The kitchen was opened to the living room, with a wide quartz countertop that allows for dining at the counter as well. The custom cabinetry was carefully designed to allow for hidden storage and to keep countertops clutter-free, open and inviting, including toe kicks drawers, an undercounter microwave, and a sink drawer to hide sponges. A newly installed garbage disposal makes clean up a breeze, and a nook with a walnut butcherblock countertop doubles as a coffee bar. The double-oven gas Samsung range converts into one large oven, yet when divided, the smaller oven eliminates the need for a bulky toaster oven on the countertop. Finishing off the kitchen is a stainless-steel range hood, Beko refrigerator and 18” Bosch dishwasher. Travel down the hall and you will find two bedrooms and a full bath. The large primary bedroom has four windows with two exposures (west and north) and a large closet. The second bedroom is a great size and has a walk-in closet. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, improving climate control and comfort. Separating the two bedrooms, is the fully renovated bathroom. There is bead board on the walls, and a quartz tub surround with ceramic marble tile to the ceiling. A wood vanity complements the charming handmade cement floor tiles. And the bathroom’s pocket door allows for even better use of the space. Look up, and a shelf above the door creates a perfect spot for storing towels and extra toiletries. All of the apartment’s walls and ceilings were skim coated and remain in great condition. Crown moldings were added in each room and there is recessed lighting in the living room, hallway and master bedroom. All floors were tastefully redone and all baseboard molding was replaced. Custom blinds throughout the apartment can be either raised from the bottom or lowered from the top to facilitate privacy while also letting in light and enabling a view of the mature tree canopy. All window sills were replaced with matching white quartz for easy cleaning. There are three gorgeous wood ceiling fans (in the living room and both bedrooms) along with a stunning pendant light fixture in the dining area. Custom shelving will also remain in the living room, kitchen and second bedroom. The Dunolly Gardens complex covers one full city block, with about half of the land dedicated to open space. The six identical buildings enclose a large interior garden for the shared use of the residents. The well-maintained buildings are pet friendly, allow subletting, have a large staff (including an on-site manager), and have storage and laundry rooms in each basement. Centrally located in the Jackson Heights Historic District, Dunolly Gardens is close to transportation, shopping, restaurants, and across the street from our weekly Greenmarket and the recently renovated Travers Park. It is also adjacent to Paseo Park, the open street that runs along 34th Avenue from 69th Street to Junction Boulevard. Please call for an appointment.
