The 10 foot tides provide views of an ever-changing land/seascape. The cottage is away from it all, yet close enough to walk to a sandy beach or swim in an island quarry during the day and later, see the stars in the dark night sky. In the morning you can hear the drone of lobster boats leaving to fish for the day and watch eagles, terns, osprey and other sea birds right out the windows. The lively city of Rockland is just 11 miles away with the quiet fishing village of Port Clyde just 11 miles in the other directions. Inside the cottage you will find 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and bottom freezer refrigerator. Stools placed around the stove island provide a great spot for conversation with those preparing meals. There is a living room /dining area on this floor, as well as a full bathroom and a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a desk under the window with water views. The second floor consists of a full bath and a family bedroom with a queen bed and 2 twins. Also on this floor is a semi-private space for reading or to play games and do puzzles. The cottage is equipped with WiFi, TV, A/C, heat and washer/dryer, wood stove. The town of St George on the St. George Peninsula, consists of two distinct villages, Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde with areas such as Martinsville, Clark Island, Spruce Head in between. The cottage is located halfway down the Peninsula, equidistant from the authentic fishing village of Port Clyde with it's lighthouse and mail boat to Monhegan Island and the vibrant city of Rockland with many restaurants, museums, shops, live entertainment and galleries. Lease term is 6 months with a preference of November 1-April 30. Rent includes: water, sewer, gas (propane for kitchen stove), internet, plowing. Tenant responsible for electricity and snow removal from steps . Insurance will not allow for Tenant to use the woodstove. This is a pet free and smoke/vape free property. Renter's Insurance is required.
