8 Main St is a classic brick built house built in 1890 by tradesmen in a village that was created and worked at supporting the equipment and commerce at a very busy location on the Erie Canal in the 1800's before crossing the Rexford Aqueduct Bridge into Schenectady. Fresh Mule teams for the barges were kept down the street at what is now the Schenectady Yacht Club Club House opposing the 1831 Baptist church. Along with the fresh mule teams fresh provisions could also be purchased there. Two new natural gas heating systems installed 2017/walk up attic/many updates throughout--
