This is a cozy and sunny downstairs apartment in our 1930's home on the south end of downtown Asheville. Designed and built by us in the winter of 2015. Our family lives upstairs and the downstairs apartment is a one bedroom, one bathroom with bright windows throughout. We are quiet and courteous but since you are below us - you will hear us move about our home. This space comes furnished with all necessities (bed, couch, dishes, cookware). The living area and kitchen are one room with Ikea cabinets, bright yellow paint and radiant floor heat (throughout the apartment). The living room has a queen size pull out couch for extra sleeping space. The air conditioning window unit is located in the living room in an exterior window. The kitchen has a full size fridge, sink, dishwasher and oven/range with microwave above. The bedroom has built in shelves surrounding, ceiling fan, queen sized bed and a small open closet for hanging your clothes. The bathroom has the old cast iron tub original to the house (great water pressure!), new fixtures, sink cabinet, stacked washer/dryer and travertine tile floors (throughout the apartment). There is a lovely porch off the private entrance to the apartment for sitting in the evenings or whenever! There is a walkway leading down to the apartment, with a handrail on one side and a short series of stairs. There is plenty of on street parking but this unit does not come with a dedicated parking space. While comfort and a home like environment are important to us - cleanliness is of the upmost priority. We are conveniently located on the south end of downtown Asheville with easy access to the interstate, a pleasant walk to downtown, River Arts or South Slope neighborhoods. Hopefully you feel right at home!! This rental will be non-smoking and no pets. Starting out as a 6 month lease.
