This cozy 1 bedroom apartment is in downtown New Haven, close to all of the best bars and restaurants. It's within easy walking distance of Yale's main campus, and it's also a short distance away (0.5 mi) from Stop & Shop. 80 Howe is directly across the street from Yale's security office and is very safe. My renting company, Chelsea Company, has been nothing but excellent to me and I will be moving into another apartment that they own. I have never had a maintenance problem that was not solved very quickly, usually on the same day, and everyone who works in the office is nice and helpful. I never miss a package because UPS and FedEx deliver to the main office downstairs, where packages are held for me until I am able to pick them up. Rent includes heat, hot water, and cooking gas, which means you will only have to cover electricity and internet on your own. My electric bill is usually less than $30 unless it is summer and I am constantly running the A/C. The hot water here really does get hot, and let me assure you it is possible to take very hot showers in this apartment with fantastic water pressure. Another perk: The closet in this apartment is enormous. There are also washers and dryers in the basement, so you can do your laundry on site, and you can rent a parking space from Chelsea if you need one. Overall I have really loved living in this apartment, and you will too. Officially, you can move in as of March, but I am able to be flexible if you would like to take the apartment over earlier (in January or February). The current lease expires on July 31, 2013.
