Home is an older 1 1/2 story home with charm and character. It was completely updated in 1980 with new electric and plumbing as well as new insulation and wall covering. On the first floor, the ceilings are 10 feet and the floors are hardwood. The living room has a large triple bay window and fireplace. The dining room is much larger than found in new houses. The kitchen is quite large and has new appliances (2007) including a 25 cft. refrigerator with ice and water dispenser. The spacious master bedroom is on the lower level and has two closets and a window seat. Upstairs are two bedrooms with huge closets and a bathroom recently updated with a stone shower. Neighborhood Description This is a great street. There are some folks with grown children and some with young children. It is a wonderful mix. Memorial day we usually have a neighborhood gathering at someone's home. A few college professors live on the street, as you might expect, as well as people in other professions including teachers, retirees, and business people. There are a few homes on the street that are rented, but most are owned by the people living in them. When I was painting the exterrior of my house, my neighbors all offered latters, etc. I was so pleased with the supportive community my neighbors are. Just like in all neighborhoods, we are all busy people. I have always felt safe and know I could call on them if I need them.
