If you're a car person (sometimes four wheels are key!), the apartment offers easy freeway access to 580, 880, Hwys 24 and 13. So many eateries: With incredibly easy access to Temescal, Berkeley, Piedmont, Uptown, and Grandlake, you can enjoy an amazing variety of delicious food with very low effort. I won't even try and list everything - use Yelp if you're totally new to the area. If you're thinking about moving from SF, or somewhere else, here's a few spots that should be on your list: Restaurants: Dona Tomas, Pizzaiolo, Barlata, Marc 49, Burma Superstar, Aunt Mary's Cafe, and Bakesale Betty's, Coffee: I'd recommend Subrosa on 40th, Arbor on Telegraph, Cafe Underwood on 41st, and Timeless (they're vegan!) on Piedmont. If you feel like a 5 min ride down Broadway, there's Farley's at Grand. Groceries: Can't go wrong with one of the largest Whole Foods in the country at Harrison and 27th. Piedmont Grocery is just past Broadway, on Piedmont Ave. They're also going to be opening a Sprouts Market on Broadway in the near future.
