Looking for a subletter for our comfortable and conveniently-located apartment! The unit features large windows and high ceilings, with spacious bedrooms and coin-operated laundry in the basement. It's a short walk to Festival Foods, James Madison Park, the Capitol square, and Lake Mendota. I have commuted to UW by bicycle most of the year, which is a 10-minute ride in the bike lane. Bus commuting is also quick - there is a stop just at the end of the driveway, and it's on the 2, 5, 10, 28, and 81 routes. If you'd prefer to drive, parking on-street is reasonable or you can ask the office about renting a parking spot in the lot behind the building ($65/month) There is a LARGE front yard, which insulates the property quite well from the noise of Gorham street. Our neighbors are friendly people, all college-age, grad students, or young professionals. When the weather is warm there are often gatherings, cookouts, and games on the front porch or on the lawn. I've had good experiences with the management here as well - the staff are friendly, and they've been very responsive to maintenance requests. Unit is available now until the end of the lease on July, with the option to renew for the following year. Rent is negotiable - let me know what your budget looks like and we can work something out! Rent includes all utilities except for electricity and internet. There is a parking lot behind the building that may have spots for rent ($65/month), but otherwise street parking is available in the immediate area. I would describe the pet policy as no pets*, as the lease doesn't allow them but a former roommate negotiated with the management to allow her hedgehogs.
