THE HOME: Tucked back from the main road, our Fawn Cottage is quiet and private, with a lovely grove, gardens, large yard (by PNW suburban standards), and there are ample options for outdoor relaxing when the weather is fair. Alternately, when the Pacific Northwest offers it's drizzle, you'll be comfortable in this well-heated home, cozying up in front of the gas fireplace and listening to the rainfall on the skylights. On those few hot summer days flip the mini-split heat pump to AC mode and enjoy a cool air-conditioned home. You'll find a master bedroom with lots of natural light. French doors open to the front deck and peaceful grove. There is a second room between the master and third that has a view of the side yard and is often used as a guest room or office. The third bedroom has a set of bunk beds (which we can leave or remove) and looks out onto our backyard. Down the hall is a bathroom with full bath and shower combo. There is also a powder room with a second toilet beside the living room. The kitchen enjoys an open dining plan that spills out French doors into the back patio-garden adjoining the backyard, and side patio where the gas grill is located. This space works as a great indoor/outdoor gathering place. The living room with floor to ceiling windows offering lots of light centers around the piano (which remains in the house). The cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near to our little town of Winslow and all its amenities, and close to the Bainbridge/Seattle ferry. While not in the country, it sometimes feels as if it is with its delightful mix of deep green, moss, and natural sunlight. There is a carport for your car to stay dry under, and a long driveway for a second car. Have kids? We have an amazing architecturally designed tree-house on the property for all kinds of club house fun. Got a green thumb? We also have 3 garden beds at the front of the property that are fully fenced in and just waiting to be planted. Need more storage? We have a sweet little 60sf writing shed (what we fondly call it) in the backyard that can be used for extra storage or another space to getaway and write your next novel. BACKYARD DETACHED GUESTHOUSE/OFFICE: The 200sq ft architecturally designed, eco-friendly backyard guesthouse is the perfect space for a visiting relative, or to be used as an at-home office or music/art/writing studio.
