On the corner of 81st and Greenwood, kitty-corner from the Greenwood Seattle Public Library is a building called the Landon Apartments. It's a small 7 unit building that has been around since the early 1900's, but remodeled since then. I was told that it used to be a general store, but many years ago was converted into apartments, then remodeled many years after that. The building is located across from a plot of land that was purchased to be turned into a small park adjacent to the library, but has been put on hold pending funds. It is currently painted and decorated. The hope is that one day soon it will be a bright and cheery park.
