I am looking to sublet my great 1br apartment on Western Ave in Allegheny West. First floor unit in a large historic home. Landlord lives upstairs. Apartment is a large sunny living room, large bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. High ceilings. Kitchen is not attached to the rest of the apartment but it is your own private kitchen. Back yard is yours but landlord keeps a garden out there (that you're also allowed to use) and access to a roof deck as well. Partially furnished if you want it to be...leather couch and chair in living room can stay for no charge if you need them. Landlord lives upstairs and is very responsive and nice. I get along well with him. The price for rent is $895 which includes all utilities. The landlord gives the option to just split his wifi with him. I do that and it brings my monthly bill to $938 which you can also do. The neighborhood is beautiful, historic, lots of personality. Steps from the park and MWS. Also walkable to the North Shore. Close to 2 T stops and I am able to walk to work downtown as well. This is by far the best place I've ever lived. I have to move out because I'm starting graduate school. My lease goes until September 1 and I am moving out on April 1. So I am looking for someone to take over the remainder of my lease and then for the next year also-that's the landlord's stipulation on me moving out. So we are looking for someone to sign from April 1 2019 to September 1 2020. No pets, no smoking as usual. Before moving in landlord will do a background check and credit check and will likely need proof of income as well. You're TECHNICALLY subleasing but it will be treated more as if you are signing your own 17 month lease. If you work downtown this is an ideal spot for you. It's great for anyone, really. It's a convenient location and easy to get anywhere in town. The price is great, the apartment is beautiful, you don't have to have any utilities in your name. Walk to work and just write one check each month. If I didn't have to go for school, I would live here for a long time. Feel free to come and see it.
