Located near the Fort Worden gate, the home is built around a greenhouse/sunroom opening onto living room and master bedroom; Two bedrooms plus large loft in the main part of the house, with an apartment downstairs that includes a small kitchen, full bath, and bedroom. Furnished, including kitchen and dining utensils, bed linens, etc. Tours by arrangement. Available May 20 - October 15, 2025, while the owner is in Alaska. Rent includes utilities & professional lawn & yard care, except for flower and vegetable beds in the attached sunroom/greenhouse and adjacent outside area, which are available for tenant care, enjoyment and harvest. I'll be holding the separate downstairs apartment for my own possible use, if I'm back from Alaska anytime through the summer. Not expecting that, though possible. And when I'm in Alaska, the apartment is open for tenants' use. If the tenants and I fit well, it's possible the rental could be extended long-term. That's happened before, with a family that was in the house for two years. When not in Alaska, I lived in the downstairs apartment then, and that went well for us, and we all felt our privacy was respected. Between the built-in sunroom/greenhouse and the expansive yard, gardening opportunities are almost unlimited, though recently the flower and vegetable beds haven't been maintained. Looking for tenants who will enjoy and have the skills to garden!
