This is a well built hand crafted log cabin of native timbers. It has an open room design with a sleeping loft. Heating and cooking is done on a wood burning stove. The lot is a combination of forest (mostly aspen and birch) and some meadows. The house has a nice view of Lake Superior from a distance, and is up on the hillside of the Maple Hill area north of Grand Marais. The property includes a nicely built wood fired sauna building, a storage shed and an outdoor toilet. The property does not an active water system. The outdoor toilet that was put in many years agomet code when built but does not meet the current standards.
