For rent - a tiny cozy home in Forest Park, with immediate access to miles of trails (biking, hiking, running, and otherwise). This is a perfect space for one person. We can discuss one small, well-behaved pet on a case-by-case basis, or we may consider renting to a couple. The home is small (approximately 250 square feet, including the loft) but well-appointed (including washer/dryer!) for someone with few belongings. You must be able to climb a layer into the sleeping loft. It can come semi-furnished with the couch and rolling table/desk pictured at your preference. Other renters have commented that having a rug/Japanese queen bed mat and a row of 6x2 Ikea cubbies upstairs is the best fit to maximize space and headroom. While a 30-inch dresser fits, it is harder to lift into the space, and the headroom is lower on one end, making it harder to view what is in the top drawer. There is also a smaller closet space in the bathroom. Please note, this space does not have an oven. It does include a two-burner cooktop and a toaster oven large enough to accommodate a small turkey. Please note that any extra items included that are broken during the rental will need to be replaced at cost. The space has a small outdoor area, including a deck, space for two cars, and a medium-sized (approximately 6 feet by 8 feet) outside shed for extra storage (bikes for Forest Park anyone?). It is within a short drive to downtown. It is important to consider that the owners live on the property, and although the rental is completely separate, we are looking for a good fit to maintain comfort at home. We are a family of three, including a toddler. No smoking of any kind on the property please. Applications processed through Zillow after a in-person tour. Utilities are separate. You will need to connect to your own internet service. Other utilities will be billed monthly and often total $130-$150. Hot water is fueled by a tiny propane tank, which costs about $30 a month to fill. Rental terms are 12-month or longer leases, with a security deposit. Rental insurance will be required. An extra animal deposit will also be required if an animal is approved to occupy the site. Only small, well-behaved dogs and cats will be considered.
