Amazing location right on the ridge of Echo summit, looking down into the Lake Tahoe Basin. There is a view from just about every room. You can lay in bed and watch the sun come up over Lake Tahoe. Just a quick stroll will bring you to Echo Lakes and Echo Lake Chalet. South Lake Tahoe is about a 10 minute drive. This Forest Service cabin is off the beaten path, but has great access into both the National Forest lands, or the city life of casinos and restaurants. The PCT passes near the cabin as well.
