Just-renovated three bedroom in hip Fox Point! Share this chill, studious, creative house with me (third floor) one other 2-bedroom (first floor), and an art studio (garage). This apartment is on the second floor and gets a ton of sunlight all day. It s in the shadow of Brown University and RISD, but definitely feels like a neighborhood. The Apartment: The apartment has a large bedroom, a medium bedroom, and a small bedroom, a living room and simple kitchen: gas stove, vent, and all new paint and finishes, some custom cabinetry and woodwork as well, all installed this summer. Newly tiled spacious bathroom with a rain shower head. Nearly all surfaces are freshly painted or refinished, the bedrooms are quiet and the apartment is sunny. The heat is gas, and they have brand new super-efficient technology on-demand hot water and heat (lower bills!) Shared Stuff: There s a laundry room in the basement, shared with all of us. We have a tiny back yard, tiny patio and tiny porch, and a nice private gate that helps the house feel quiet and secluded despite being close to so much. Getting Around: There is a bus stop in front of the house, and we are on the Brown/RISD shuttle. The trolley bus goes directly to East Side Market and Boston Sports Club--never carry groceries home in the rain! It is a super bike-safe neighborhood, and very walkable. There is good overnight street parking on the block. Neighborhood Perks: There is great street life families with kids, people waiting in line for donuts (honestly, one of the most prominent features of the street!), a really nice mix of traditional neighborhood stores and conveniences, and new ones like PVDonuts (next door!), Tallulahs, The Shop, Malachai s, Tea in Sahara, etc, and a short walk from the main part of Wickenden Street. We are also very close to the India Point Park which is beautiful and has a seasonal ferry to Newport; Cabral Park with tons of family life, a dog park on the river, the East Bay Bike Path, and walking distance to Wholefoods and East Side Market. Vartan Gregorian elementary and Brown Fox Point Education Center are just a few blocks away. Optional 2-person arrangements: This three-bedroom apartment could be used as a large two-bedroom: $1600 for three people, or $1550 if only two people will live there. You d have a nice dining room, or a TV room, studio, office etc. The gas, electric, and internet are paid by the residents and separate from the rent. About me: I am a graduate student and nonprofit professional who has managed property for six years and have gotten good at predicting/sleuthing/managing building issues. I have a studio apartment on the third floor. I bike for the most part, babysit dogs sometimes, and mostly want to have a relaxed, friendly, collaborative, and harmonious home and good neighbors. Owner pays trash, water bill, exterior lights; resident pays gas heat and hot water, electric, internet etc.
