It was my first home and was great for my girlfriend and I. With the finished basement it is really like having 1600sqft. When I moved in (2011) I refinished all the hardwood floors, painted all the walls, updated the electrical, replaced all the hardware and basically an entire lipstick job on the inside. New chimney, and roof (architectural style with ridge vent) in 2013. It is a good home for a couple with no children or one child (great schools!), small pets, or just people who prefer not to share a building with other people. It is not recommended to have more than two vehicles as street parking is banned 2am-5am. Neighborhood Description It is a quiet little dead-end street but it is close enough to the city where a cab/Uber downtown is only $10-15. Also, it is within' walking distance of just about anything, restaurants, bars, auto-parts stores, grocery stores, liquor stores, some fast-food places, general stores, gas station. Also walking distance to a bus stop and CTFasttrack. I only use my car to drive to work and recreation. Here I probably could survive without it but given the proximity to civilization this street is a nice little oasis since it is nice and quiet. The neighbors are all long-time residence and very friendly. Town pays for trash and recycling. Owner pays for water (up to $100/mo). Tenant pays for electricity, internet, and natural gas heat. Tenant is responsible for mowing lawn, and snow/ice removal. Owner lives in the house across the street, so minor issues or small repairs can be fixed quickly. Small pets allowed, large pets considered but fenced back yard is only 3ft high. Stove, refrigerator, washer and drier included.
