The upstairs bath features deep green vertical tile in the bathtub area, matte gold fixtures, a wood-tone vanity, and built-in alcove shelving with fluted cabinetry for lots of storage room. The space feels calm and grounding rather than builder/flipper-basic. The backyard is fully fenced (two gates for access) with established garden beds and gets good sun. Sliding doors off the living room and a separate family room entrance make it easy to move in and out - we used it year-round. The family room itself has large picture windows and a gas fireplace that makes winter evenings genuinely cozy. Upstairs, you'll find three bedrooms, including a primary bedroom with two closets, plus a half bath on that level. The basement has laundry, a workbench, and plenty of storage. Parking is easy - covered carport, a long driveway, and additional off-street space. The location is hard to beat for families or commuters: directly across from Waynewood Elementary, a short walk to the neighborhood park, pool, and the Mount Vernon Bike Trail, and easy access to Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon, GW Parkway, Old Town Alexandria, and DCA. Pets are welcome. We were a non-smoking household, and the third owners only since the home was built in 1961.
