Trash is picked up by the city of Hampton. Renters insurance (which is typically inexpensive) required and proof of policy to be provided prior to move in. Military transfer clause for active duty military. Minimum 1 year lease that can go month to month after 1 year. All utilities (gas, Newport News Waterworks, electric, HRSD, Virginia Natural Gas) paid by tenant. Security deposit due within 2 days of lease signing. The signed lease and security deposit "reserves" or "secures" the house.
