I am looking for someone to take over the last five months of my townhouse lease near the end of March/beginning of April. We can be quite flexible with dates (hopefully you can too) because we have yet to find a place. You will have the option to either renew the lease on August 31, or go month-to-month. This is nothing weird, we just want a bigger place and can't afford to break the lease. Management is letting us find someone to take on the last 5 months rather than locking us down. Here are the deets: You will need to apply and be approved by the management. Rent is $1400. Water is also billed by the unit s property manager and averages between $30-$50 a month. Tenant is responsible for electricity, gas (for the fireplace), and cable/internet. Free garbage, recycling, and yard maintenance. The unit is a nicely updated, 2nd story 850sq ft 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom (one full, one 3/4). There are large closets, very clean 2-year-old carpet untouched by pets, a brand-new dishwasher, and a washer and dryer in the unit. There is a gas fireplace that operates with just a flip of a switch, efficient cadet wall heaters, a spacious kitchen with a ton of storage, and balcony/patio with floating deck with plenty of light for your container garden. The unit also has a single car garage with automatic door for your vehicle and/or extra storage. Management also allows pets with just a deposit. No pet rent! The complex is very safe, with quiet neighbors and is family friendly. Also, there are always hummingbirds outside. One is hot pink (bonus). The unit is in the Madison Townhomes complex located at the foot of Rocky Butte in the Madison South neighborhood. The townhomes are situated just far enough off 82nd that this neighborhood is very quiet, without a lot of through traffic. Very close to the Max and the 72 bus line (one short bus ride to Rockcreek), and easy access to I-84 and 205. You ll be within walking distance to Madison Highschool and Glenhaven Park which has a large skate park and jungle gym, as well as Lumberyard Indoor-Outdoor Bike Park, which just added a Pizza Schmizza, with full bar, great tap list, and plenty of TVs to catch your favorite sports game. We love walking down for a slice and a pint and just being spectators. Or you can catch live music at the Eastside Bar and Grill, just across from the Lumberyard. There is also a little-known boxing gym a block away, and Pho Oregon (4 stars on both Yelp! And Google reviews). You re also just a short drive/ride to Fremont to the north, and Montavilla to the south. And an even shorter drive to our favorite place for burritos at La Parilla.
