This house is conveniently located near the 23 freeway, Ladera elementary school, Thousand Oaks high school, Gelson's, and Trader Joe's in a quiet neighborhood. Other shopping is close by. What we like most about this area is that the homes are mostly ranch-style, sitting on large lots with mature trees. Unlike newer subdivisions, you don't live right on top of your neighbors, and every house on the street doesn't look like a garage door with a couple of bedrooms atop it. Our house received an extensive renovation in 2004 that expanded the size of most of the bedrooms. The sewer line was re-done in 2009, the pool was remodeled in 2017 with new equipment, and the house has Sunrun solar panels. In 2021/2022 we added a new kitchen with high-end appliances, put wood floors in throughout the house, installed a new water heater with a recirculating pump, and installed a new paver-stone driveway and back patio area. We intend to re-do the bathrooms in 2023, and add an extra closet in the master bedroom. We will also convert to desert landscaping in 2023.
