Monterey Homes (now Meritage) built the home in 2004. Besides the 2 bedrooms, there's a separate home office space and a separate arts/crafts room. Each bathroom has a "towel warmer" installed for bath towels. The guest bedroom (front) has a bay window and sports a queen size, oak "Murphy bed". The front courtyard with brickwork and stucco wall provides shade and privacy year around. The covered back porch is extended by 10 feet with added brickwork and a full-length electrically operated awning. Two additional brick pads in the back yard provide additional areas for furniture or chiminea gatherings. All entrance doors have a retractable, 8' screen door for flow-through ventilation as needed. A small, Washington Navel orange tree provides ample winter fruit without the need to climb a tree. The same goes for the Pink Lemonade tree. Twenty solar photovoltaic panels on the roof provide up to 3500 watts (rated) of electricity through a grid-tie system with Tucson Electric Power for a monthly cost savings of $50-$100 depending on time of year (sun position in sky). The water heater was replaced in the summer of 2019. The house was repainted in August 2020 and the roofing replaced in September 2020.
