The home is all-brick construction on 2.2 acres in the most desirable location, Kanab Creek Ranchos, which is about a mile from the center of town in the foothills where the lot is dotted with Juniper and Pine trees. The lot is located on a hill with a gentle slope, the home being located at the crest with beautiful views on all sides. The main floor (upper) has a covered deck overlooking the red cliffs and the town, while the lower floor has a walk-out large patio with a barbecue/dutch oven cooking area. From the house, the lot slopes down to a large enclosed (with wall and wrought iron) swimming pool area that has an in-ground pool and a tiled in-ground hot tub. We have locked off an office/study with great bookshelves, a very large storage area, and a furnace room with more storage which are not accessible to our guests. The home is heated and cooled with a heat pump system, and it also has a Vermont Casting wood burning stove in the family room on the lower floor. Home can be completely heated using the stove and burning wood which is abundant in the forests around Kanab. Home is cooled by central air. The home is all-electric, has a water softener, with reverse osmosis on kitchen sinks. Propane gas heats the water for the swimming pool and spa. Floors in the home are ceramic tile and carpet. The flowers and lawn are watered with automatic sprinklers. Living in Kanab is absolute serenity--blue skies, starry nights, clean air, wonderful temperatures both summer and winter, delicious pure drinking water, with neighbors who are good people.
