At the end of the ramp turn left so that you go back under 287 and up the mountain. Stay on Skyline Drive for about 5.2 miles - youll come to a stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign. Drive another 2 tenths of a mile - the road splits - stay to the right and turn right at the next stop sign. (This will be route 511). Stay on route 511 for 5.2 miles...on this route the Wanaque reservoir will be on your left, and at some point youll drive between two sections of the reservoir- with tall tree stumps in the water. Less than a mile after you see this there is a road on the righthand side called East Shore Road. Turn right onto East Shore Road. Stay on East Shore Road for 5 miles. Youll pass the Castle Tavern....youll pass a sign for Forest Park.....eventually youll be driving down a hill and on the right hand side there will be a sign for Forest Knolls. At the sign take a left on Woods Road for the upper entrance or drive another 1/2 mile for the lower entrance. Directions from the George Washington Bridge Once across the bridge take Route 4 West for approximately 7 miles. Route 4 will split with Route 208 to Oakland to the right and Route 4 bending to the left. Get on 208 North toward Oakland. Stay on route 208 for approximately 8 miles. It will run into route 287 south. Get on 287 south but only for about 1 mile. Take exit 57 - exit for Skyline Drive. Take the ramp to the right and up the mountain. Stay on Skyline Drive for about 5.2 miles - youll come to a stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign. When you come back down the mountain the road will level out. There will be the Village Market on the right. On the left will be a road called Ten Ecyk. Turn left onto Ten Ecyk. Go about a mile to a stop sign. Continue to the left so that the lake is on your right. Stay on this road, East Shore, for less than 3 miles. You will see a sign for Forest Knolls on the right.
