Palm Haven was originally designed as a residence park in 1913. Consequently there were standards such as garages must be placed in the back, palm trees are 25 feet apart and line the streets. Lighted pillars with plants mark the main entrances to the neighborhood. They were recently restored by our neighborhood association. Additionally, historical street signs are replacing the more modern versions. The house is in a historical conservation area which limits change to the facade of a building - but hasn't hindered expansion.
