There is direct access to the basement which has ample storage for whatever you need to keep downstairs. The basement has been dry and with zero moisture for as long as we have owned the house. There are two sets of laundry hookups in the basement, one set is for this rental unit. I plan on providing a washer and dryer unless you prefer your own set. The basement has electricity and is temperature controlled. The unit was completely renovated from kitchen appliances to the cabinets and countertops (granite) to the bathroom with a new tub, tile, vanity, etc. The focal point of the unit in the living room is the fire place which was refinished, too. We can discuss usage of the fireplace. The bedroom is very spacious and has 2 large closets. Bedroom is rug, the living room is hardwood floors and the hallway, kitchen and bathroom are tile. The kitchen is an eat in kitchen. The driveway holds 6 cars. The left side of the driveway is for this unit and fits two comfortably but you could squeeze a third. The backyard is completely fenced in and has a nice patio for summer BBQs as well as a hammock. I also have a smaller patio off the main patio with a fire pit. Trash and recycling is located under renovated deck so it is out of site. New tankless boiler systems were installed in 2018 which are very efficient and assist with lower gas consumption, especially in the winter months. New siding, windows and doors also replaced which help with maintaining desired temperature during the summer and winter. Property is walking distance to bus route and commuter rail and a short drive or uber to the orange line (Oak Grove). Minutes from downtown Melrose which has great restaurants and shops! **Available April 1st, 2026, possibly earlier** Owner will pay for water consumption and sewer charges. Tenants responsible for utilities (gas/electric), cable, internet, etc. Trash/recycling removal is provided by the city of Melrose on Thursdays by 7AM. Snow removal taken care of by me/owner. When it snows there will be a few guys who stop by and take care of the property until it is clear and safe. Yard work and landscaping during the warmer months will be taken care of from landscaper (cut the grass/rake leaves, etc). Tenants may plant flowers or have a garden if they wish to.
