    What's special

This is a classic Mission Style Craftsman home that was one of the original homes on the Morrison Grove . You could see all the way to Tamp Bay because no other homes were built yet, so it was waterfront. The house was built by Chris C. Burns and his wife Lily; called Big Daddy and Big Mama. Their children were Christoper, Reba, Sidney, Persis, and James. Mr. Burns came to Tampa 1891.He was founder of the CC Burns Furniture Co. He was a judge of good furniture and created this house in quarter sawed oak with wood floors and wainscoting. The house has skirt boxes which are cedar lined. The picture rails are classical. There is a built in bench for the front picture window and a built in China cabinet . There are many beautiful fireplaces , one of which has been adapted with brick for grilling seafood or meats while standing in the kitchen. The billiard room and the library have built in shelves for antique books. The lot is a double with a very large pool for swim groups laps and there is a spa with heat for the whole pool from a heat pump called and Ice Breaker. The landscaping is beautiful with special lighting .
