    What's special

Nestled in the foothills of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, this prime real estate is 3.07 acres in the impressive Barrington Glenn neighborhood. The property shares a wooded border with Lenoir’s one-of-a-kind greenway that offers more than 9 miles of trails for running, walking, cycling and mountain biking. The property is perfectly situated to appreciate the natural beauty of Hibriten Mountain. The end of the Brushy Mountain Range and a local landmark, Hibriten Mountain gives light to the hearts of Lenoir residents as well as tourists both on the ground and in the air. All are captivated by the star and cross which adorn the mountain peak during the Easter and Christmas seasons. These iconic seasonal lights can be seen for miles and miles. It is only a 45-minute walk to the summit of Hibriten Mountain and the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and other surroundings is well worth the effort. Many people in Lenoir enjoy hang gliding or watching the silent hang gliders circle above and around the mountain. The three schools in this district are Lower Creek Elementary, William Lenoir Middle School and Hibriten High School. These schools all have excellent test scores and ratings. These ratings serve as an important enticement for families moving to Lenoir. Carolina School Hub is a link to the rankings for all three. Lenoir is also home to Cedar Rock Golf Course often referred to as The Showcase of the Foothills. Located at Cedar Rock Country Club, this course is one of western North Carolina's finest courses. Lenoir is host to the Smoking In The Foothills Barbecue Competition and Festival. This event combines the fun of a family-friendly festival with the excitement of a sanctioned Kansas City Barbecue Society competition. Our two-day event offers live music, wood crafters' showcases, kid’s areas and raffles. With thousands of dollars in prize money at stake, KCBS judges and professional cook teams from across the country come to Downtown Lenoir for this hot competition. Downtown Lenoir offers restaurants, a museum, an art gallery, The Harper School of Performing Arts, antiques and so much more! The time from Lenoir to Blowing Rock is 27 minutes. Blowing Rock, often called the Crown of the Blue Ridge for its spectacular, expansive views across the Blue Ridge Parkway. Blowing Rock is a captivating town filled with natural beauty. Visitors can stare out in amazement from The “iconic” Blowing Rock– a cliff standing 4,000 feet above sea level. The formation has almost constant winds and is known as a place where snow occasionally blows upside down. You can also check out the many cascading Blowing Rock waterfalls. The time from Lenoir to Boone is 36 minutes. In Boone visitors can drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, ride a steam locomotive through the mountains, visit Grandfather Mountain State Park or have a fun-filled day at Tweetsie Railroad, a wild west theme park. With a reputation for having some of the best snow skiing in the southeast, Boone has fantastic ski lodges such as the Beech Mountain Resort and the Sugar Mountain Resort. The time from Lenoir to Grandfather Mountain is 47 minutes. Visit Grandfather Mountain “a place of amazing biodiversity and scenic beauty that towers 5,946 feet above northwest North Carolina. A unit of the United Nations’ Southern Appalachian Man and Biosphere Reserve, the mountain is estimated to be 300 million years old – with certain rock formations dating back 1.2 billion years.” Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Lenoir.
