I'm the owner of the little up-and-down, pre-statehood duplex at 903 Photo Avenue, which is right behind the Midtown McDonald's off of Benson Boulevard. I occupy the upper unit, and the lower unit has been renovated. (Drywall, paint, new flooring, kitchen makeover, lighting.) This little unit offers a few things: 1.) It's right in the heart of midtown. Easy to get places all over town, in all four directions. I walk across the street to Spenard Roadhouse quite often, it takes about a minute or more, depending how long it takes to wait for traffic and cross. 2.) While the exterior of the duplex is pretty old and humble looking, its bones are good, and this unit is comfy, redone, and clean. 3.) You can park your car right next to your dedicated (un-shared) door. There is a dead-bolted arctic entry and about 7 stairs down to the unit door, which also has a deadbolt. 4.) Washer and dryer in unit. 5.) The entrance is in the back, off the alley. Pretty quiet back there. And since it is a below-grade unit, the unit itself is pretty private and quiet. 6.) I have motion activated, security floodlighting. 7.) The property has security cameras. 8.) Onsite, responsive owner. (The listing agent is the owner.) The exterior kind of looks like a dump, right in the middle of Commercialville. There is a fair amount of foot traffic, both homeless and regular pedestrians hoofing it in front on Photo Avenue.
