Spacious One-Bedroom Apartment Two Blocks from Park with Laundry Room in Basement $1,460.34 /month LOCATION Sunset Park, Brooklyn AVAILABLE January 1, 2021 - March 31, 2021 TRANSPORTATION D train at 9th Avenue; B35, B63, and B70 Buses ABOUT THIS LISTING Large fully furnished one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment on the ground floor of a pre-war building with a laundry room in the basement. Apartment has beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Generously sized kitchen with ample counter space, and the largest room is the living room/dining room/working space. Cozy up on the couch with one of the many books from our floor-to-ceiling shelves, or use either of our desks as a workspace if you are working from home. There are two TVs with HDMI cables, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Bedroom is at the back of the apartment and has a full-size bed, closet and two dressers. Heat and Hot Water are included in the rent, but other utilities (Wi-Fi, Gas, Electric) are additional. Generally Gas is about $18-$20 per month, and Electric tends to be roughly $45-$50 per month in the winter, depending on usage. Wi-Fi is $73.99 per month. Apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, with tons of great food options around, including Tacos El Bronco, Asea, Maria's, Cafe Zona Sur, Castillo, Sunset Park Diner (open 24 hours), Pho 60 and more. Parlay Cafe and Judy's are great spots to grab coffee or breakfast, and Judy's also turns into a bar in the evening (they are working on creating nice outdoor seating this winter with lots of heat lamps). There is a smaller grocery store on 8th Ave, Placita de Brooklyn, or a larger Key Foods on 5th Ave. There are also many Asian markets along 8th Ave, where we often buy great produce at a reasonable price. Brooklyn Liquors (very cheap booze!) and Costco are a quick bike ride or about a 20-minute walk away. Brooklyn's Chinatown is just south of us, where there are also tons of different markets and restaurants. Sunset Park is mere blocks away, with beautiful views of the city, and Bush Terminal Park and Greenwood Cemetery are also not far by bike. 4 minutes from the D train at 9th Ave. Close to the B35, B70, B63 buses, or about a 15-min walk to the N/R trains at 36th Street. ABOUT THIS LISTER We are partners I'm a writer, and my girlfriend works in production looking to sublet our place while we spend a few months outside the city. We can show the space virtually if you are more comfortable with that, or if you'd like to see it in person, we just ask that you wear a mask the entire time and please do not show up if you have any symptoms of COVID or if you are running a fever. This is an LGBTQ+-friendly space and a safe space for BIPOC. RENTAL REQUIREMENTS We are looking for someone clean and respectful to live in our apartment while we spend some time away. If you have references (previous landlords, roommates who can vouch for you, etc.), that's a huge plus. Since we are only going away for a few months, we'll have some clothes in the closets and dressers, but we will make some space so you can comfortably store your clothing as well. No application fee, broker fee, or credit check required, but we will require proof of income and one month's rent and a security deposit equivalent to one month's rent to secure the sublet.
