Your roommate is a mid-30s male working professional who enjoys all that Portland has to offer: Outdoor recreation, live music, community events, and maintaining a clean, comfortable household. For rent are the TWO rooms on the other side of the house, creating a high degree of privacy. You'll have your own full private bathroom. The common areas are already furnished. The two rooms available for rent are more of a package deal, we're looking for one more roommate or maybe two really good friends, not two separate roommates who don't know each other, although if it seems like you're a good fit then I'm okay with it. One of the rooms is a bit small and is more suitable as an office/art room/gaming room, although it still has ample closet space and can fit a queen bed if you really want one in there. Kitchen has modern appliances, plus there's a washer/dryer in the house too so you don't have to leave the premises to wash your clothes. There's central heat and one portable AC unit that has caster wheels. You are welcome to bring your own portable AC in, no window-mounted units allowed because they damage the windows. There's a back patio and fire pit that's great for hanging out and a rambling back yard with planter boxes if you are inclined to garden and grow vegetables. There's peach, plum and nectarine trees too, although these need a bit of neem oil to keep the bugs at bay. Driveway can fit two cars, plus there's street parking. Location is excellent, 3 blocks to Grocery Outlet and the St Johns Beer Porch food cart pod. A few blocks to bus lines 75 and 4 and not much further to bus lines 16 and 44 plus all the fun stuff in downtown St Johns like Cathedral Park, Slims, etc. Rent is $1000 plus utilities (typically around $150/month). Security deposit is $1000. Background check and credit screening required. No giant first/last/security up front required. Just please pay your rent within the first seven days of the month. I'm not a commercial landlord, there's no faceless property management company, it's just me, a guy who used to live here and still is friends with his old neighbors. I'm happy to answer any questions you have. First month and security due at signing. Tenants pay for utilities. 12 month lease is preferable but will accept 6 month lease if that works best.
