I've only updated my home data (accurately) to show a friend what information could be added. Neighborhood Description Upfront note: Sorry, our home is NOT for sale. I've only updated my home data (accurately) to show a friend what information could be added. We like it too much to sell. We chose this location VERY carefully and there isn't anywhere else we'd rather be. Feel free to look at any nearby homes for sale in zip 96003 or Redding, CA though and use my information to get an idea of how nice this area really is. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood not within earshot of freeways or railroad. It is in a low-crime area (going by city police crime maps). There is VERY convenient shopping including WalMart, Target, Shasta Mall (J.C. Penney's, Sears, Macy's and others), WinCo, Best Buy, FoodMaxx, Safeway, Raley's, Long's Drugs, Rite-Aid, Walgreen's, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's and Sports Authority. Also, many eateries including Taco Bell, McDonald's, Burger King, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Hometown Buffet, Outback Steak House, Logan's (steak house), In'n'Out, KFC, Jack In The Box, Round Table Pizza, Panda Express, Chinese Gourmet, TCBY, Casa Ramos (Mexican cuisine) and many others, all within a 1 to 5 mile radius. Easy driving: One of the nicest things about Redding is that it takes no more than 10-15 minutes to drive anywhere in town. For longer trips, we can drive to the Pacific coast beaches in 2 to 3 hours or take a flight directly from the Redding airport to the Sacramento airport from which we can go anywhere else. Recreation: Redding has several golf courses and Shasta Lake and Shasta Dam are only a 15-20 minute drive north on I-5. The Sacramento River runs right through Redding and there are several boat ramps and places where people can fish from the river right in town.
