    Eco friendly: The owners reclaimed much of the original house to be reused. They made new window frames from old framing; used brick from the foundation and chimney for the patio and landscaping; reused old door frames, reused oak flooring to repair floors. An on demand tankless hot water heater was installed which also feeds the radiant heat in the floors. They chose bamboo flooring not only for its beauty but because it is a renewable resource. There is also insulation in ceilings and all the walls that were replaced and mostly new dual pane windows. All the electrical, plumbing, gas lines, and waste lines have been replaced. The new foundation has a raised perimeter to keep pests out. It also has been seismically retrofitted with bolts, shear walls, corner braces, and tie downs.
