Avalon is Western North Carolina’s only high elevation and high-speed fiber optic community just 10 minutes from historic downtown Waynesville and 30 minutes from Asheville. This 415-acre mountain top community is bordered by wooded forest and ridge top pasture land permanently protected from future development by the North American Land Trust as a conservation property. Avalon sits just above Lake Junaluska with elevations from 3345 ft to 4115 ft and has long been regarded to have some of the most panoramic long-range views anywhere in Western North Carolina with iconic peaks including the world-famous Cold Mountain, Mount Pisgah, Balsam Mountain Range and the Soco Mountain Range all from within our community.
