Nearby running and biking paths along Sligo Creek, bike route and frequent bus to Silver Spring Metro station on the Red Line to all points in Washington area; metro takes 15 minutes to Capitol Hill, 20 minutes to downtown DC. Inside the Beltway. Convenient to FDA (only four miles away), National Archives, NIH, and area universities. Silver Spring is a popular Washington suburb, just over the District line, with its own lively downtown with the treasured American Film Institute screenings, Majestic movie theater, international restaurants and cafes with sidewalk seating, pedestrian zone, lively weekend farmers market, Whole Foods Market, free summer concerts.
