The current owners do use the cabin in the winter as it is well insulated top to bottom and there is a wood stove forced air heating system as well as a propane supplemental heater. There is a building that houses the generator and a bank of batteries that are charged by both solar panels and the generator - currently the batteries can power the lights in the cabin easily overnight without use of the generator.
