Original Owner: Fredk. Lundeberg. His famous daughter artist Helen Lundeberg lived here at the time. Architect - J. Cyril Bennett. One of the most prominent and successful architects of Southern California. A native of Hereford, England born June 21, 1891. Graduated from Pasadena High School. He began his architectural training with the firm of Greene and Greene, in which connection he remained for several years. Then for a time he was associaated with S.B. marston and from 1914 until 1923 he practiced alone. In 1923 Mr. Bennett entered into partnership with Fitch H. Haskell under the firm name Bennett and Haskell. Among the important jobs which they handled together are the Civic Auditorium, Pasadena Masonic Temple, the Firest Trust Building, All Saints Rectory and parish House, the Administrative Building of the Board of Education, Holliston Avenue Methodist Church and numerous schools including the Edison and Alexander Hamilton. He designed many more large jobs such as Pasadena Junior College, Horace Mann School, the Pasadena Skating Rink and the School of Theatre- an addition to the Community Playhouse.
