    Tudor-style, 1 1/2-story bungalow on a unique double-deep lot in Mendota Heights. Mechanicals are up-to-date with a 2016 gas water heater and 2016 high-efficiency (96.6 EER) gas furnace and 2021 central air unit. All windows have been replaced with double-pane, argon-filled, aluminum exterior clad Anderson windows. The built-in-place original kitchen cabinetry has been supplemented by granite countertops, a huge farmhouse sink, under-cabinet lighting, a Miele dishwasher and stainless French-door refrigerator and stainless, convection-oven range. A full, up-stairs bathroom with dual skylights and jetted tub was added in addition to full 1st floor bathroom that preserves pristine original tilework, but with an updated granite-topped vanity. The basement contains a huge, 40x10 ft family room, fully carpeted with Mohawk SmartStrand carpeting (the best!). There's also a perfect laundry room (washer/dryer sit on concrete pad - no noise transmitted to the rest of the house), another half-bath and a large workshop / storage room. There's extensive, additional storage in the half attics upstairs. Entire house was extensively weatherproofed and insulation was upgraded after a blower-door diagnostic energy audit. All ductwork has been cleaned multiple times. The chimney and front steps were replaced in 2021 by Twin Cities Masonry and concrete driveway was replaced in 2017, all hardwood floors fully sanded and refinished in 2017, all external trim painted in 2015 and the roof was replaced in 2012. The large detached double garage allows us to remotely start our vehicles in the winter to warm them up and was upgraded with a 100-amp electrical subpanel to provide two 50-amp circuits for charging two electric vehicles. The property the house sits on is over 11k sq ft - a double-deep lot that extends all the way to the street behind us (Chippewa Ave). The backyard gently slopes away from the house and with so much backyard space, we installed a long zipline for our children. While much of the backyard is mixed shady, there is a large, beautiful sunny spot at the rear of the yard where we installed multiple raised planting beds for vegetables. Yard is 95% fenced. The huge double-deep yard, 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and large family room makes this an extremely livable house for a family of four (or more).
