The heat pump /central air keeps the house quietly cool in the summer, warm in the winter, with the gas fireplace to make the living room extra toasty when the weather is cold. Next to the deck is a gas barbecue with utensils ready for cooking outside. The owners live offsite, but stay in the house when it is vacant in order to do maintenance on the house and visit nearby grandchildren.
