We have our former home available again after a nearly 6 year tenant moves out this month into her first owned house. It is a 2 BR / 1BA house built about 1953 in the popular Smyrna Heights neighborhood near S. Cobb and Concord. There's also an extra room with a closet that can be used as a 3rd bedroom, office, play room, or dining room. There's a bench under the windows which could be used for reading your favorite book and has a lot of hidden storage underneath. The living room is carpeted, the kitchen has a tiled look smooth flooring, and all other rooms other than the kitchen and bath are refinished original oak floors with 65 year old character. Our kitchen has bright and modern white cabinets and appliances including a gas stove. In addition to central heat and air, we kept the original floor heater which means that if you lose power in a winter storm, you still have the floor heater which doesn't use electricity. We installed a doggie door (medium dog or smaller) in the kitchen door that leads through your screened in porch of about 9' x 15' and out to your fenced back yard. We just loved that so the cats and dog could go do their business whenever they need and never leave us a mess inside. There s also a laundry room off the screened porch so you never have to worry about the noise keeping you awake at night. You get a lot of privacy because of the tree lined property boundaries. Next to the two level deck is an elevated herb garden, a small flower bed, and a fish pond. If you don t want the fish pond, I ll drain it and cover it up so you won t have to worry about it. To the left as you walk along the rock path from the carport to the backyard is a large flower garden. It s always a beautiful sight as we come home after work. There are two large Forsythia plants near the front with bright yellow flowers early in the spring when you re getting tired of winter. You ll find a large variety of day lilies, ornamental lilies, and a whole host of other plants that I don t know the names of. Virtually every one of them is a perennial, coming back every year, as we don t like to garden any more than necessary, but we do like the flowers. There is also room in the driveway to park another car or two without blocking the carport. When you have friends over, you can fit 5-6 cars in the driveway. The house is on Oakview Dr in Smyrna. Go do a drive by and see what you think of the neighborhood. Oh, did I say there is a tiny park and a large park with a swimming pool and tennis courts within an easy walk from your home? You're about 10 minutes from I-75 and only 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. Tenant responsible for Gas, Water, Power
