From the living room, you peer into a linden tree, and from the back porch, you are looking into a sprawling silver maple. Fabulous neighborhood two blocks from Capitol Movie Theater, Quebrada Bakery and restaurants. There are tennis courts and a playground across the street at Crosby Park. We are a 20-minute walk from Alewife Station down a lush bike path and on the bus line to Davis Square. We are two blocks from Thompson Elementary and four from Gibbs School. We are on the same street as Lesley Ellis School. We just installed new insulated windows and a fantastic heat pump that keep the apartment toasty. In the summer, it is often comfortable to leave the windows open, but when it gets hot and humid, the heat pump can drop the humidity and temperature like a central air-conditioning system. You can feel it when you come to tour. The living room and bedrooms have hardwood floors that have just been refinished. The bathroom was redone in 2014. The eat-in kitchen has a dishwasher, an electric stove, and a fridge. There is room in the kitchen for a washer and dryer. We are going to wait to see if tenants have their own. Otherwise, we will purchase a set. There are two tandem parking spaces in the driveway. There is storage space designated in the attic. There is a delightful porch off the apartment, but the rental does NOT include use of the yard. Ideally we would have had the dates for rental lined up ahead of time, but, due to construction, we were unsure of availability. The construction finished today. Though we wrote in an August 1st move in date, we are flexible until September 1st. It is most important to us that we get tenants who are a good fit. We, the owners, live in the bottom of the house with our two daughters. Our daughters are young, so we would like a quiet noise level from 8:30pm until 7am. Our daughters are up around 7am, but they are mellow until 9am or later. Tenants and their guests cannot smoke in this apartment or on the premises. No pets either. First, last and security are required to move in. Tenant responsible for electricity.
