I am reviewing applications now (required) and the apartment showings have begun. The dwelling can be set up as a 3-bedroom with a dining room, as it currently is, or a 2-bedroom w/ dining and living rooms. Great big yard. Pets are a MAYBE. If a pet is accepted, a separate pet deposit would be required. The $2,000 security deposit is negotiable, if the cost is prohibitively expensive. This is the 2nd-floor unit of an owner-occupied duplex. It has a huge yard, space for gardening, a small porch, plenty of off-street parking, and there is storage space available. The house and the apartment are in top condition, especially compared to what else is on the market. The neighborhood is beautiful (down the street from a big park) and the location is exceptional. There is excellent highway access and it's minutes from just about any box or grocery store. The rooms aren't huge, but they also don't feel small... it's cozy and makes for a lovely home. One owner lives on the first floor, but the second owner (and landlord) lives only 10-15 mins away. Too, the apartment will be freshly painted. The photos were taken before the cleaners and painters have come in. The cleaned and painted and the apartment will be cleaned up. The washer, dryer, and stove are included. The refrigerator only works at half strength, so I'm trying to get it repaired. Only water is included, no smoking, no pets (w/ few exceptions), heating oil and wood will be split and shared with the first floor, electric separate. First and last due at signing, security deposit is negotiable.
