It's a cute artist's home. The fireplaces are inset with real geodes... A bedroom and a den updairs (really it's a small bedroom) and a mother in law quarters downstairs. It could be considered two bedrooms, or a bedroom with a den. There is a living area downstairs as well with a wood stove (and the geodes I described earlier). We get the cool ocean breezes up here on Mount Helix. It's at least 10 degrees cooler than when I was in the City of La Mesa. Oh, and we are in the county, so we can have animals if we'd like. Of course if we had a horse it would have to have two long legs and two short legs... The land is incredible! Almost an acre... it feels like you are on your own private paradise, but you are so close to town... Convenience and privacy...who would think you could have that in California? Neighborhood Description Mount Helix is an area of custom built homes. The people who live here are very friendly. Everyone walks their dogs so you get to know the neighbors after about two weeks. And it's not intrusive. People know each other but they aren't right on top of you because everyone here has at least 1/2 acre. In December one of the neighbors throws a neighborhod Christmas party and everyone brings a dish. It's a great way to get to know everyone. It's a very nice neighborhood...and very private.
