Pretty little Cape Cod cottage in parkland looking out over Manitou Beach - Water and Rainier views. Perfect little refuge in the country but just a couple miles from the ferry. A unique cottage that is South-facing and nicely updated. It provides an amazing "work from home" lifestyle. The cottage has two upstairs bedrooms and two baths. There is an additional room downstairs that is suitable as an occasional guestroom. There is the deck on the south side, and balconies to the west (overlooking wetlands) and north. Nothing but peaceful views and spaces. The house comes furnished, one bedroom with a double, the other with twin beds, and a further queen downstairs. The family room has a sleeper sofa and TV. The laundry includes washer and drier. The kitchen is furnished with basic appliances. Price is inclusive of water and trash pickup. The price also includes the services of a maintenance person who stops by about once per month to clear brush and to check on the roof. We provide a basic internet service via cable (1 gb on exfinity), but you are welcome to supply your own as well. Owners work overseas, so the tenant needs to be able and willing to supply basic maintenance and services. Basic yard and gardens maintenance may be supplied by the tenant - equipment is available. There is a local property supervisor who can assist with answering questions and providing service people for tenant to hire (cleaners, gardeners, etc). As the owners require occasional returns to Seattle for appointments, family and otherwise, we are looking for medium term rentals only e.g. 1-3 months. We are flexible as to the timing, and we can work with the tenant to determine what sort of timings would work for both. We hope that this will suit: visiting grandparents, sabbatical travelers, Seattle visitors, digital nomads, and similar persons interested in a medium term stay in the area. The house has basic household furniture (beds, living room furniture, family room furniture) plus kitchen appliances. The owners (living overseas) maintain one room for own use for storage purposes, and retain other items (bicycles and kayaks) on the premises for their own use. There is storage space available for tenants as well. The cottage has a no pets policy - on account of the wetlands and beach environment - sorry! Security deposit is $3000. In addition, tenant should be prepared to pay the last month's rent amount at the signing of the lease. As described above - the owners can only provide a lease of about 1-3 months in length. We will need to return on occasion. We can be flexible for the precise timings of your visit, so feel free to contact us with proposals for the timings you prefer.
