While we're away for this academic year our incredible view home is available for rent, Sept, 2026-June 30, 2027 only. We will be returning to live in our home in July 2027. $6700/month includes all utilities (wifi, but no cable TV). Shorter periods may be negotiable, but we have a strong preference for people who will stay the entire time. This monthly price includes our main house AND a new fully permitted ADU studio apartment suitable for an office or roommate/granny flat. Sorry we are not interested in renting the ADU separately. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sweeping views to the north and south. The studio ADU has its own bathroom, kitchenette, and deck with those same sweeping views. Suitable for corporate rental, temporary relocation, extended family visitors, vacation/staycation, etc: all utilities, dishes, linens, etc included. Just bring your suitcase and a desire for peaceful, quiet living, right in the middle of L.A. Located high on a ridge between Eagle Rock and Highland Park, this home is the perfect peaceful getaway from it all, yet close to everything. Fully furnished and equipped for cozy mountaintop living. Sorry, this is NOT a party house and is NOT available for film shoots. This is truly a special place! With architecture that was clearly inspired by John Lautner's work, this 1950 house is located on a ridge with fabulous views from both sides of the semi-circular glass living room: south to central L.A. and north to Eagle Rock and Glendale. Minutes from downtown L.A., Silverlake, and Pasadena, but there is a feeling of being completely outside (and above) the city. Wonderful privacy and quiet. Hawks and doves put on airshows. Enjoy the evening breeze and vistas that change with the light, culminating in incredible night-time sparkle. Furnished by art-lovers. The main house has two larger bedrooms, one with attached 3/4 bathroom and one with a deck and sweeping view (see below) and an adjoining full bath. Third bedroom has a twin bed and is stocked with toys and games for kids from ages 5-99. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances and induction range, dishes, pots and pans, etc. Gas BBQ, washer/dryer, patio furniture, decks, everything you need! Parking for TWO CARS only (there is no street parking). Cats and most dogs are OK with additional deposit, but they must be confined to the house: no aggressive breeds, as defined by our insurance policy. No smoking, vaping or incense indoors, no drugs or evening noise loud enough to disturb the great neighbors. Sorry, no film shoots. All utilities in both houses included, except cable television.
